SHAH ALAM, 7 Feb: Menteri Besar Selangor, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim memberitahu, kerajaan negeri telah membatalkan projek Canal City yang menghubungkan Sungai Klang hingga Sungai Langat kerana tidak memberi banyak manfaat kepada rakyat Selangor.
Selangor batalkan projek Canal City
Harakahdaily
Apakah Project Canal City?
...........Projek Canal City yang bermula hujung 2007 lalu melibatkan tanah seluas 1,960 hektar . Ia termasuklah projek tebatan banjir sepanjang 18 km terowong yang menghubungkan Sungai Klang dan Sungai Langat.
Ianya di laksanakan oleh Kerajaan BN terdahulu disebabkan masaalah banir yg sering melanda Bukit Jelutong, TTDI Jaya, NKVE & Taman Sri Muda.....yang paling dasyat adalah banjir Feb 2006 ---http://www.bernama.com/bernama/state_news/news.php...?id=182544&cat=ct
The affected areas were the TTDI Jaya housing estate, the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) in Bukit Jelutong, Kampung Landasan in Kampung Melayu Subang, the area around the Giant hypermarket in Section 13, Kampung Kebung Bunga Batu Tiga and the area around the Makro hypermarket.
Kebanyakan Projek Perumahan diatas di majukan oleh Guthrie semasa Khalid sendiri menerajui syarikat itu....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bukit_Jelutong ...."Bukit Jelutong is located on a former oil palm plantation, Bukit Jelutong Estate, which was owned by Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad.
The development of Bukit Jelutong began in 1996, with the construction of the Guthrie Pavilion building, the present headquarters of GPHB.[3] Since then, Bukit Jelutong has emerged as a much sought-after address in Shah Alam, with consistently well-received sales launches and price levels of real estate approaching those in more established areas in the Klang Valley, e.g. Petaling Jaya.[1] In July 2005, the Guthrie Corridor Expressway connecting Bukit Jelutong to Rawang opened."
Selepas Khalid buat duit semasa dlm Guthrie, skrg dia kata Project Tebatan Banjir itu tak penting.........
Skrg cuba kita selak2 apa jadi pada tanah yg telah diserahkan kpd IJM utk projek itu...http://www.starproperty.my/PropertyScene/TheStarOnlineHighlightBox/5794/0/0...."Radiant Pillar Sdn Bhd, a 50:50 venture between IJM Land Bhd and Kumpula...n Europlus Bhd (K-Euro), which is undertaking the proposed development of the 2,500-acre Canal City land in Selangor, is negotiating with a state government agency to mutually settle the termination of the flood mitigation project for Canal City.
“Hopefully the negotiation can be wrapped up soon,” IJM Land managing director Datuk Soam Heng Choon told StarBiz.
Under an earlier agreement with the previous state government, the deal involved a flood mitigation project in the form of an 18km-canal linking Sungai Klang and Sungai Langat. In return the company will be awarded the land for development.
However, the new state government, which took over after the March 8, 2008 general election, has decided that there is no need for the flood mitigation project.
It is understood the settlement potentially includes the outright purchase of the land from the state government" -->.apa yg kita fahamkan disini Kerajaan PR dari awal lagi tidak mahu melaksankan komponen tebatan banjir utk faedah rakyat, tapi pembangunan hartanah yg merupakan bayaran kpd IJM utk project tebatan banjir tidak diteruskan.......pelik bin ajaib
